Art Inspired by
George Rodrigue's "Blue Dog"

Picture

After practice drawing "Blue Dog" the students used their imaginations to create an abstract, colorful back ground with tempera paints.  Some added accessories  to give him some personality.  They were also given the choice to  make him a "Red Dog" or "Yellow Dog" instead.

Learning concepts: color, shape, patterning, imagination

Students created blue, yellow or red dogs inspired by George Rodrigue's "Blue Dog" series.
